Heya~!! ｡ﾟ+.(´▽`)｡+.ﾟ My name is Ryu and I’m the owner of this blog page. I’m currently stuying (really hard) to pass my SPM or for those who are not local, my final exam as a high schooler. I’m an aspiring manga artist and I’m currently attached to a growing manga and animation company, KAMCAO Animations which I have co-founded with my sister, and two other good friends. For those who are not familiar with the term “manga”, it is the Japanese style of comic.
I started my journey in art at the tender age of 11, where I and my sister decided that manga art will be the thing we’ll devote our passion to for the rest of our lives. From there, we’ve built, fallen, stood up again and met some of the most wonderful people a company could ever ask for. My short term goal right now is to pass my SPM ( acing it is more like it ) and enter the prestiges Art College, The One Academy along with my sister. My long term goal is to build my own Animation Company and animate some of my comic projects that I have been developing over the years and try my best to improve the local animation and comic industry. All of course under the name of KAMCAO.
My second passion would be Music. My music scope has grown large since my family is really musical. I listen to all kinds of genres ranging from Jazz, Classical to Punk Rock and Techno. Currently I’ve really got stuck onto the Japanese J-Rock band, UVEworld and Plastic Tree. Not to mention I’m a lifelong fan of Bon Jovi, Nat King Cole and Frank Sinatra. As for playing an instrument, I’ve been playing the piano since I was 5 and I’m slowly self-learning guitar. I’m currently on Grade 3 of piano and re-taking my theory levels (long story). I also have a deep interest in singing.
My lifelong passion would also have to be my family and friends around me. They’re constant reason I believe I’m blessed by God. I come from a big family of 9 (including myself) with my mum, dad, 1 older sister, 4 younger sisters and 1 younger brother and myself. my sister, (the oldest) just turned 18 while my youngest sister is turning 3 months old this month. My mother is a retired English lecturer and a home maker while my father is the Local City Council’s Architect. He’s going to retire soon to return to the family. I’m pretty excited about it.
Personality wise, I’m hyper and often not shy with strangers. I love meeting new people, learning of their likes and dislikes, who they are and what they do etc. And I don’t mind putting my dignity on hold to make even the most coldest person laugh. Smiles of people around me is what I live for. (>▽<;; ) Though I am extremely protective of the people I know or love so if anyone out there hurts them, they will receive DIVINE PUNISHMENT!!! ( *Д* ;;;) I am also an extreme feminist so I dislike when men disrespect women or vice versa as I hold a strong principle of “women are to be protected”. I have high respect for men who are capable of upholding the gentleman way of doing things.
Other than my usual comics and manga selections, I enjoy reading self-motivation books and I mostly read Norman Vincent Peale and Zig Ziglar books. I’m also fond of Napolean Hill at times and I’m currently reading “The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership” by John C Maxwell. other than self motivation books, I take liberty in reading selections that my friend, Cheshire.Tofu picks for me, such as the one I’m addicted to lately is “The Black Book of Secrets”. I’m not very fond of novels however though. only some that I can imagine in my head as I’m reading. I also enjoy reading Encyclopedias and books about Classical Music.
I also like random things such as The Rubik’s Cub, anything with cow (or as I call them, ‘moo-moo’) patterns on them and also yellow duck products. I’m also extremely a fan of Apple Computer Products but unfortunately my budget currently doesn’t allow me to indulge in this particular category just yet. I also like collecting Notepads and stationary. And my life long wish is to buy my own clothes and replace my current wardrobe.
